About SBX

Student Book Exchange was started in 1964 by Kenneth Washam in a small building across from Missouri State University™ (in '64 it was Southwest Missouri State College). We have grown significantly in the past 46 years. We now stock books for 5 schools and special order books for countless others.

The textbook industry has changed significantly over the past few decades. One thing that has not changed is our mission: to save students money. Compare prices online now or stop by the store anytime. The difference is easy to see.
